Emergencies - What to do

What to do when taking drugs goes wrong

Drugs have different effects on different people. There's no way of knowing exactly what's in a drug before you take it. That means it's always risky even if you've taken the same sort of drugs before and were okay.

Sometimes people take too much of a drug or drink too much alcohol. Or they have a bad reaction. Mixing different types of drugs or taking drugs and alcohol at the same time makes things even more dangerous.

So it's really important to know what to do in an emergency.

Remember - It is really important for you to tell the Paramedics or hospital staff what drink or drugs your friend has taken, and how much, so that they can give them the right treatment as quickly as possible. You won't get into trouble for being honest.

You will not get into trouble for telling ambulance/hospital staff what your friend has taken. And remember, this could save their life.
